As one proceeds towards the hills one comes across the trees
of Rita, Shikakai, Amla, Beedi, Bay leaves, Sandalwood,
Red sanders, Mahogany and Bamboo.
Chenchu tribes live here with their famous Pungannur cows,
which eat less fodder but yield more milk. A 150-year-old
Eucalyptus tree "Kalyani" is also an attraction
at Horsley Hills. About 87-km away from the hillock is the
Kaundinya wild life sanctuary.
